What is liposonix?
Liposonix is a device used to reduce size, shape and permanently get rid of fat cells. The device uses high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) waves to permanently disrupt fat cells selectively in problem areas. Liposonix eliminates fat cells without surgery and has minimal to no downtime or side effects.
How long does a liposonix treatment take?
It takes 15 minutes to 1 hour depending on the area and how many waves ‘shots’ need to be performed.
Am I a candidate?
Potential patients should be close to their ideal body weight, with a body mass index (BMI) of less than 30 and a desire to target areas of stubborn fat that are resistant to a healthy diet and regular exercise. How does liposonix work?
We map/mark the area directly on your skin to assure the shots are correctly placed on the chosen area/s. We steadily apply the Liposonix handheld device to your skin’s surface. Furthermore, each shot lasts just under 60 seconds and the device is then moved accordingly to the following mapped out areas.
The treatment uses a special technology known as High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound or HIFU to destroy fat cells in a safe and effective manner. Liposonix focuses the ultrasound energy 1 to 2 cm under the surface of the skin.
The fat cells get disrupted by the HIFU. This results in an average 4 to 5 cm (1.5 – 2 inches) reduction in waist size using 16 shots.
Is the procedure safe?
